A warm and inspirational biopic that doesn't try too hard. While it may be one of the safest among the race-issues-themed dramas that have been emerging lately (12 Years a Slave, Django Unchained, and Fruitvale Station also being important parts of this movement), it is a worthy, inspirational little sports drama.
