Review of 42 (2013) by Kelvin D — 29 Jul 2014
42 is an inspiring movie. Remind you I'm not into baseball fan at all. This is without a doubt one of my favorite sport movies of all time. This is a film for all baseball fans and even those that are not into baseball.
Jackie Robinson is portrayed by Chadwick Boseman who gives a phenomenal performance and along with Harrison Ford, and other cast members. The setting is beautiful, and I love the feel of the 1940's in the film.
Chadwick is without a doubt a great actor and rising actors out there. The visuals for the movie and how moments are captured really make you care for the characters, and are well done. 42 has inspirational moments that are done so well you just want to keep rooting for Jackie robinson, and the Brooklyn Dodgers.
My only problem with 42 is sometimes the pacing of the film is off at times. Also the film uses the "N" word a lot so it is a film not for younger audiences. Overall 42 is a fantastic movie that all audiences should see especially for baseball fans.
, and even those that are not into the sport.
