Review of 42 (2013) by Swarnendu R — 27 Dec 2014
Biopics, especially the sports biopics, even more the sports biopics with racism factor in it, are probably the toughest to execute, very rare to find a standing ovation from all four corners and very easy to miss the mark.
Brian Helgeland, the man behind the fluid screenplays of LA Confidential, Mystic River, put together a very dramatic tale of a young boy who was destined to crush barriers and reach for the stars. Tough task it was and with the help of Ford and Boseman, him and his 42 almost hit a homer there.
