Review of 42 (2013) by Timothy J — 23 Mar 2015
This movie should have been better and I expected it to be so. The movie never let you get to know the characters to allow you to empathize with them. The film assumed you knew who Jackie Robinson was (and we all should) and just jumped into his life. Because the film did allow you to get to.
Know the person you never felt his emotion and his pain, which is what a movie of the subject matter should do. The result was a well acted and nicely filmed bio-pic.
