Review of 42 (2013) by Cristian M — 13 Oct 2013
Jackie Robinson, the famous baseball player who forever changed the game and became the first black American to be in the hall of fame. Good biography?
For starters, I am not a baseball fan. Never was, just seems so boring and takes forever. I'm a football and soccer kind of guy so naturally I had no intentions of seeing this film. Although the trailers seemed very promising so wasn't sure of it. Months after it came out on bluray & DVD I decided to watch it and boy, sure glad I did.
It's a great film that makes you feel bad and makes you want to cheer for Jackie because you want him to succeed and show everyone that everybody has equal right to play a game that they enjoy. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Great movie, enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Definitely gonna buy this soon.
