This is really and truly one of the best films I have seen in a long time. The story is gut-wrenchingly personal, but the implications are global. I challenge any pro-lifer to watch this film and not feel the least bit uncomfortable with his beliefs.
I'm unfamiliar with Christian Mungiu's work, but I am impressed with his ability to buid tension and hold the audience's attention without resorting to cheap gimmicks. Anamaria Marinca, Laura Vasiliu and Vlad Ivanov are all superb.
I highly recommend this.
