Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Evan J — 23 Dec 2008
Very intense film, and the real time filming added to the suspense. it also really captured the insecure, hostile nature of communist romania, and although I do not agree that abortion should be legal, I was taken aback by the social environment that a communistic authority breeds among the people. in fact, I think the film really justified that point a lot better than justifying abortion, for as one can see after watching this film the horrors and dangers of having an abortion (which all culminate in the scene where otilia recoils at the sight of the aborted fetus on the bathroom floor), that abortion does not sound very appealing anymore.
Nonetheless, I still liked this film, the actors especially did a wonderful job, they were very real, natural, and believable.
