Review of 35 Shots of Rum (2009) by Zoran S — 20 Dec 2009
Well this was supposed to be Metacritic's number one film of the year, frankly I found it a big disappointment. There was hardly any action in the film at all, barely anything happened, the car breaking down was a high point, I mean seriously this was just devoid of incident.
It was well shot, the music was sparsely used but good when it was. Thats about all in terms of GOOD things about the film.
Maybe Im just not cut out to be a film critic but I like things to actually happen in my film and this one just didnt have it. As far as arthouse goes this was probably right up there but for me it didnt fulfill my Saturday night DVD requirements. Still gotta see em havent you.
