Review of 3:10 to Yuma (2007) by Asif K — 14 Oct 2011
Another well-filmed adaptation of Elmore Leonard's famous story, expanded and altered from its 1957 film version. With great perfomances from Christian Bale as the farmer, desperate for money, who agrees to help escort a notorious outlaw to a train that will send him off to trial,.
..and Russell Crowe(taking the role that Glenn Ford made famous)as the bad guy who can quote from the Bible, and Ben Foster excellent as the part-time leader of Crowe's gang out to rescue him. A very entertaining remake, with a new ending that is indeed a mixed blessing.
