A Modern Day Classic...3:10 to Yuma has all the makings of a great western, and indeed a great film. Bale and Crowe give Oscar worthy performances, as does up and comer Ben Foster. The slick and confident directing by James Mangold(Walk the Line) adds much tension and depth to the proceedings.
The slick screenplay never falters or goes for easy cliches. But what really ties the film together, is Marco Beltrami's Oscar-Nominated Score. Classic western meets modern day thriller...
