The theme of man's dignity, morality and friendship might sound cliche and naff if the plots are badly constructed. However, this remaking film definitely succeed in convincing us with its new interpretation on these topics.
This is even true with the two great actors(Christine Bale and Russell Crowe)' performances. If there is anything to criticize, it would be that the beginning part could be cut to make the storyline more concise.
However, this is a kind of films that make you feel worthy your patience until the climax at the end.
