Who's who? What's going on? Why don't I care about anything that's going on? Why is anybody doing what they're doing? Why is he shoehorning in classic rock? Why is he shoehorning in poorly executed throwbacks to his other movies? Sheri Moon is too old to play cutesy.
Midgets are never scary unless they are preparing food. Bad Rastafarian impressions are bad. There is no contrast. Everyone has the same established stakes. There's no reason to feel for one character differently from another.
