Review of 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) by Dusty S — 18 Jul 2008
I know lots of people don't like Costner or this movie to say the least. It is, however, a different type of heist. The Elvis impersonators robbing a bank is an interesting angle. I think Costner actually plays a pretty solid bad guy, not as good as in Mr.
Brooks, but still respectable and he has some mean sideburns to say the least. Kurt Russell, as always, is enjoyable and Courteney Cox has never looked better on-screen. Lovitz, "give me five...hundred thousand.
" adds a nice touch and so does Kevin Pollack. I could have done without Howie Long and Christian Slater, but other than that the cast works fairly well. There's plenty of action and blow em up, shoot em up scenes to hold the action junkies' attention.
Obviously, it isn't going to win any Oscars, nore did it, but it's still a fun flick worth a watch.
