300 rise of an empire wasnt really a needed sequel but it was a fun sequel. its very artistic and faithful to the comic while offering a good continuation of the saga. but it is still somewhat of a rehash of the first film and offers little new ideas.
its still a worthy watch to fans of the original and sword and sandal films in general.
