Review of 300: Rise of an Empire (2014) by Elizabeth N — 12 Aug 2014

Take all the badass cool characters, wicked cool slow motion slaughter scenes, short narrative that sets a stage, funny moments, proud Queen boldly standing up, and wild and cool looking antagonists and wipe every bit of that away.

The result is the boring dreck that is 300: limp raising of a flaccid empire. Yeah, the Themistokles was okay, but how many times are you going to try to show us she is a badass without actually having her fight anyone? If you loved 300, and I did, this boring mess is just painful to watch.
