300 may have be simple minded, but somehow manages to be great. The atmosphere of the film is the best part, the environment it sets up works nearly perfect the entire film. Story wise is a very successful adaptation of the original material.
The acting and writing is very cheesy and not the best it should be, but for the film it works and is great to watch. Snyder directs this almost well and adds a great style to the story and film. 300 is one of the most violent and cheesy films ever, but it works very well.
