I usually give a score close to the ones the critics give, but I really think the critics are under rating this one. The visuals were really astounding, and I thoughti t was cool how they showed how Spartan men were really brought up.

I read one reviewer say the copper colors were overused, I thought it looked good. Sure, the movie exploits sex and violence (it is the goriest movie I have ever seen by a long shot) , but we are watching a war movie.

Only gripe I had at first all the Spartans look like models, instead of barbarians, but I think it just added to the style. I think some critics forget to enjoy a movie for what it is. Amazing movie.
