Review of 30 Minutes or Less (2011) by Dave L — 15 Jul 2012
"30 Minutes of Less" borrows heavily from other movies which are far better. There are laughs to be had but certainly not large laughs. The strength of the movie is the chemistry between Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari.
After watching this, I discovered I'm not much of a Danny McBride fan either. Too much trashy humor for the sake of it being trashy. The film is actually haltingly short as well at 83 minutes. There are definitely some plot elements left hanging and annoyingly so.
I can't recommend this as much as I think Jesse Eisenberg is cool and wanted Ruben Fleischer to have success post the brilliant "Zombieland".
