Review of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) by Jerry M — 19 Nov 2010

Wow, this movie has the sequel suck factor to the 30th power. Remember how awesome and gory and violent and dark the original was?

This is nothing. It's an actor's movie. Like it was made and written just so the actors could get good acting on screen. The stunts were horrible, the camerawork seirously made me nauseous. They didn't go for nearly as violent as the others and it has sex scene. Seriously? A sex scene? unnecessary for this movie. Unnecessary on every degree. I've decided that every vampire movie that's good requires a ridiculous amount of gore. Blood, guts, and all that good stuff. This has none. It's like the producer/director spent all the money they had on the guns and fake ammo. All the hard action is offscreen and just ruins the illusion for me. Not to mention there are enough plot holes in this movie to sink the titanic in. I'm sorry, but this is sequel suck at its finest (and by finest I mean absolute worst.) I don't recommend this movie to anybody. Really, ever.
