Review of 30 Days of Night (2007) by Stephanie A — 11 Feb 2013
I watched this with my dad, I missed the beginning and a chunk in the middle, yet I knew exactly what was happening. I get scared so easily especially before bed, but from watching constant high quality films I have become picky with the way movies are filmed.
This film probably cost very little to make and the filming in my opinion was jolty, almost like a soap. I did love the sky view though and would love to see more films use this view appropriately. Even with people dying all over the place I was not scared in the slightest.
My dad though couldn't help but comment on the leader of the vampires and how great he looked, which I highly agree with. If that is how Josh Hartnett acts in horror films, I won't be watching anymore.
Compared to other characters he seemed not all with it and as the sheriff was a bit too scared for my liking, while Melissa George showed little emotion. Probably a good one to freak out non-picky movie watches who are afraid of horrors.
