Review of 30 Days of Night (2007) by Boon K — 21 Jun 2013
An interesting concept well handled by the director. There is a good mix of violence/gore and tension. The vampires are a bit atypical - no steak to the heart here. And I'm thinking they were speaking Russian, but it could have been a language of their own.
These vampires are intelligent, ruthless and full of guile. The special effects are wickedly awesome. The story is good with a non-traditional ending. I really enjoyed it.
