Review of 30 Days of Night (2007) by Jacob A — 06 Dec 2010
If not always the thrill/scare ride it should be, 30 Days of Night is probably one of the best treatments of vampire lore in the Post Near Dark years. Slade manages to bring vampires to the screen that are the blood thursty, unstoppable creatures they should be and label a distinct atmosphere of dread that carries most of the film along, despite it's flaws of hackening a lot away from the adaption of the book. Decent, and worth watching if you need refreshment from the genre.
3 Stars.
