Review of 3 Women (1977) by Diane G — 17 Sep 2007
One of Altman's very best, and a personal favorite of mine. Duvall is simply wonderful in this; you laugh at her character while at the same time you sympathize with her and her so very sad life. Her and Spacek work so very well together, especially when Pinky turns into Millie and vice-versa.
Of course the rest of the cast are so good as well; Altman's actors are the best. And I especially love those murals. (In Millie's apartment is a fat cat print on the wall that I had at the same time as the film came out!).
