Review of 3-Iron (2004) by Alex K — 19 Dec 2007
This is only the second Ki-Duk Kim movie I've seen but if the rest are similar then he could go on to my favourite directors list. I thought this movie was magnificent, charming and beautifully quiet.
The relationship between the two main characters is sweet and genuine, which is remarkable as neither say a word to each other throughout the duration of the film. Left me smiling for a few hours afterwards.
More proof that South Korea has one of the better movie industries of recent times. Highly recommended.
