Review of 3 Idiots (2009) by Rakesh D — 09 Jan 2011
This movie is brilliant. The story is stupid and the moral is cheesy, but it is definitely entertaining. There's not one boring moment in the movie, and you don't feel it's almost 3 hours long. I laughed and cries and cheered with the characters and when the credits rolled I still yearned for more, that's how good I think it is.
The characters are comic, but they're the model of friends, true friends that appeals to me. The three leads did that really well. There are a couple of singing and dancing sequences, like most indian films, but those moments comes naturally, you don't feel it's forcefully crammed in. And he quality of the picture is stunning, it's beautiful shot, the color is vibrant and the scenery is breathtaking, it's almost like India is the most beautiful place in the world.
The moral of the movie is simple, don't brainlessly follow tradition, do what you love instead what you're expected to do, be loyal and truthful to your friend, and relax, don't worry too much, when you're good at what you love to do, success will follow. All izz vell, ends well.
