Review of 3 Days to Kill (2014) by Alex R — 22 Jul 2014
Awful film that relies on a poorly written script and bland performances 3 Days to Kill is a film that isn't worth your time because it lacks anything really engaging and to be honest, the cast is quite awful in their performances to the point where you interest in the film.
Costner has done some tremendous work throughout his career, but here, he is absolutely wasted here and delivers a bland, uninteresting performance. 3 Days to Kill could really have been a great film, if the right screenwriter would have come across the project.
Unfortunately, the lack of story doesn't elevate the story, and it's a film that doesn't do anything worthwhile to appeal to genre fans. The film doesn't do anything to appeal to viewers and with that being said, it's a picture that fails due to a lack of effective storytelling and memorable performances.
The film as a whole isn't good, and it's a poorly made film with no effort put into it. Therefore, the film just isn't worth your time, and it's a film that fails to grab your attention as well.
3 Days to Kill could have been a good effort if there would have been enough effort put into the script. Unfortunately, the film loses it's quite quickly and it becomes a dull, tedious film before things take off, and when it does it's simply too late and it's a pointless film in general as it never becomes anything really interesting for the viewer.
I think it's a shame because the film wasted some effective talent on such a poorly constructed script and in the right hands; maybe this film could have been a great effort.
