Review of 2LDK (2003) by Dukey F — 06 Jan 2006
Two directors. One scene. One camera. 90 minutes. That's the gist of the bet between the two directors from Japan involved in this "contest.".
Director Tsutsumi Yukihiko takes two actresses who are unknowns to film audiences, constructs a plot, and makes it work. The movie 2LDK gives you the backstory for each, a gradual building of tension, and an awkward yet effective ending that culminates in apartment warfare. The actress act well. All in all, is the movie worth a repeat viewing? Yes - at least once to catch everything.
