Review of 28 Weeks Later (2007) by Brittany R — 01 Nov 2011
While at first I was disappointed that Cillian Murphy wasn't in this one, I immediately got over it. A great cast in this one gave me hope for a great sequel, and they delivered. Robert Carlyle was brilliant, I was convinced beyond a doubt.
I almost feel like I like this one better than the first. The first is given to you via Murphy's viewpoint and doesn't stray too far away from him or his family. This one gives you more characters and insight into how the infection is actually being "controlled.
" It has more emotional quality and regard for human life, whereas the first began in the opposite way. I just wish Danny Boyle would've directed this one too.
