Review of 28 Weeks Later (2007) by Jesse P — 22 Jun 2013
This is one of my favorite zombie movies ever. The story takes place 28 weeks after the rage virus had ravaged London, the U.S military is attempting to repopulate the city. However, one of the survivors carries a secret that will reignite the infection.
The zombies once again are terrifying and are just as fast as they were in the original. The characters, while not as good as the ones in the original, are still interesting and it is sad wwhenever one of them dies.
Another element of the film is the inclusion of the military, who say that that they are there to protect the civillians, but when the infection starts, they will do whatever it takes to stop the outbreak, including killing civillians.
It adds to the tension that the film was going for. This is a fantastic film that all zombie fans should see, even if it isn't as good as 28 Days Later,.
