Review of 28 Weeks Later (2007) by Ken S — 12 Oct 2011
I was pleasantly surprised by 28 Weeks Later. I think I'm jaded into thinking that all sequels today, especially in horror, are just going to be cheap imitations of the first film, rehashing gags that already worked in order to get a few bucks.
But 28 Weeks Later chooses story over gore and action, which is refreshing as hell. Now it is missing the hardcore relentless action, thrills, and scares that made the first film so damn good, but this is still a solid follow up to what was one of the best horror films of the last decade.
