Review of 28 Days Later (2002) by John W — 24 Jan 2013
Many people and especially critics criticize this film for its "crude technique" or its vile scenes. This simply means that they completely missed the point in this film. Unlike its sequel (28 weeks later) this movie has a real story and message to tell.
It shows the human struggles that so many zombie movies forget to incorporate. It shows that certain people in this world will kill to protect themselves even friends. This is not a crude technique its a brilliant one.
It isn't just bout gore and zombies its about humans against humans. the gore is necessary to shock you and make you realize no one can be trusted in the apocalyptic world. This is one of my favorite films and deserves at least a 98.
to all the critics who try to rip on this movie, dont criticize what you fail to understand.
