Review of 28 Days Later (2002) by Jarrett M — 19 May 2012
28 Days Later is a fresh and interesting take on the zombie genre. The story is engaging an interesting, but is familiar and not terribly original. The performances from the cast are very good and the characters are believable.
The effects are well done and the zombies are very effective and feel dangerous. The most interesting aspect of the film to me was the descision to shoot it on video rather than film. This gives the film a different and more realistic look, which makes the destruction and devestation look that much more convincing.
Well worth a look for those that like zombie films, but should be interesting anyone who likes a good horror or post apocalyptic film as well.
