When I first heard about this movie, I was a Freshman in high school, it looked scary. But I watched the film and It was one of those horror movies that would startle me. I thought this film was more than a dramatic action movie, with a little splash of comedy, than any other horror movie I've seen before.

This was the 1st movie I ever saw that was directed by British filmaker Danny Boyle. I thought the performances by Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins), Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean II & III), Christopher Eccleston (Elizabeth), and Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter 4 & 5) were terriffic as a handful of survivors trying to find sanctuary after a mysterious and incurable virus spreads throughout the UK.

I thought Danny Boyle directing this movie with Canon XL1 digital cameras was a pretty cool idea instead of using a standard 35mm, which they used for the ending of the film. The scenes when Murphy's character Jim walking through London, where it's completley empty, was incredible to see.

My favorite scenes are when they go food shopping at the Budgens supermarket and the ending where Jim fights through Eccleston and his men to save Naomie Harris and Megan Burns's characters. The only character I hated was the cruel Corporal Mitchell, played by Ricci Harnett, I liked what happens to his character.

I really liked 28 Days Later. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen.
