Review of 28 Days (2000) by Richard B — 23 Feb 2012
Came in for some critisism, but this is a perfectly watchable film about a tricky subject. It's not a hard hitting, in depth study of the depths of human despair - but then that's a different film.
You won't be crying or cheering at the end but it's still a well made and reasonably well acted look at addiction. The characters are largely stereotypes and there is no great study of cause and effect, nevertheless I had no problem watching it through and didn't feel short changed afterwards.
It is what it is.
