Review of 27 Dresses (2008) by Matthew L — 23 Jan 2011
27 Dresses is enjoyable while it lasts. It follows the basic romantic comedy formula: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy wins girl back, happily ever after. The film has surprisingly good subject matter, and its performances are fairly well done, except Malin Akerman whose stiff and annoying performance (two bad things happen to her in her life: her sexy, Italian boyfriend dumps her, and she loses her job--boohoo) nearly drug the whole film into the ground.
Overall, nothing special to be seen here, but it's good, if you're a fan of this genre.
