Review of 27 Dresses (2008) by Jon M — 28 Dec 2011
Yes, it's like every other romantic comedy out there and very prodictable, but I still can't help but like this movie.
Everyone loves Katherine Heigl and everything she's in (come on, admit it). And I don't think this movie is any different. She is very good at playing the pretty and sweet girl next door who is a romantic. I also think James Marsden did a fine job with his role as the anti-marriage guy who is changed by the end of the movie because he does find love with Heigl.
I knew that Heigl and Marsden would end up together, but I still just didn't like the idea of Heigl being in love with her boss, played by Edward Burns. And even though I knew Heigl would be happy in the end of the movie, I still sympathized with her once her sister started dating her boss.
All in all, I don't think you'll regret watching this movie. It has it's funny moments, and it's just a sweet and romantic movie all around.
