Review of 25th Hour (2002) by Blackity B — 22 Aug 2008
The 25th hour is one of the most absorbing movies you'll ever see. Brilliantly directed and exploring very strong themes, it pulls you in and really puts you in the shoes of the prison-bound character.
Great acting and dialog make for many compelling characters and situations. The masterpiece is the bathroom scene, where Spike Lee lets it rip without restrictions in one of the most daring scenes I've seen.
However, I can not say I agreed with or liked too much of what was said or established, though that can't take away from the strength of this movie. The ending was not as perfect as it could have been, but still did a good job.
