Spike Lee only gets better with age. To be honest I had to convince myself to watch this - the synopsis kept making me yawn, and so I thought the movie would as well. If you're thinking the same thing well don't.
Its well worth seeing. There are some (IMHO) misfires, like the subplot (if one can call it that) with Mary and Jacob - if there was anything particularly of import with those two sorry I missed it completely.
But the rest certainly more than made up for it.
