Review of 25th Hour (2002) by Sarah . — 11 Jan 2009
Alright, well first I will talk about the things I liked. The acting was great all around. I adore Norton, he always does an amazing job. Barry Pepper also impressed me in this film.
I felt like this movie was filmed really well. The camera angles were different and worked really well. And the different filming techniques used were good.
Also, Norton's monologue "fuck everyone!" was great. It was the moment that convinced me to keep watching the movie. Throughout the whole movie the script was really well done.
Which leads me to the parts I didnt like. For the first half hour or so - at least up until Norton's monologue, I was bored to be honest. It just hadnt hooked me in. Then throughout a good portion of the film I would get bored. There were several scenes I liked but also a lot that did nothing for me.
The ending was good too. It concluded things nicely. So all in all, not bad by anymeans. Unfortunatly it just didnt hook me into the story as much as id hoped.
