Now Michael Winterbottom has made alot of very good films... (bar 9 Songs... that was shit) yet by far this is his best and visually excellent. Winterbottom deciphers this film through a mixed documentary stylized way of filming and thinking, using Steve Coogan as the central character, Tony Wilson, all in character, etc.
I also cannot believe the guy playing Shaun Ryder from The Happy Mondays... he is by far the closest resemblance I have ever seen towards Shaun Ryder!!
