Review of 2:37 (2006) by Eric D — 12 Feb 2007
Ugh, I waited a long time to see this. After missing a screening I had a ticket to at TIFF last year because another film ran late, I was elated to see that it was coming back as part of a smaller Australian film festival.
But it was all in vain. The film is slow and boring, with pretentious writing and directing and amateurish acting. There was one stand out scene, not including the gratuitous suicide at the end, which I have to add was really disappointing.
On the plus side, I really liked Joel McKenzie's performance. His character is the only one I sympathized with.
