Review of 22 Jump Street (2014) by Tofewviews — 01 Nov 2014
This movie surprised me when I saw it in theaters, I thought it would have a few good jokes and be the typical cheesy squeal. But it does better then that, I found myself laughing out loud consistently. The movie is every self aware, they never break the forth wall but if you listen to the dialog you can tell when they are poking fun at the movie it self. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum do a great job together again, seeing the improv lines they do adds a nice touch.22 Jump Street is also directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the guys who made The Lego Movie/21 Jump Street. The story doesn't have much to it, but it's not the reason you are watching the film. It's nice to see that they know the movie they are making is ridiculous and they take every chance they get to take a jab at the movie.
If you liked 21 Jump Street or looking for a lighthearted raunchy comedy look no further.
