A pleasant surprise. This movie is like a mix of the old series and Hot Fuzz.
Channing Tatum is spot-on with his performance as the dumb jock turned overexcited rookie cop. This might be his best comedic performance ever. His partner, Jonah Hill, is solid, but unspectacular in his usual role as lovable loser trying to gain respect from his peers.
Great supporting performances are littered throughout this movie from actors like Ellie Kemper, Rob Riggle, Nick Offerman and a few surprise uncredited appearances.
One of the best comedies of 2012. Worth a buy on DVD!
