This film definitely had everything against it from the start. A comedic spin on a dramatic teen show from the 90's and be nearly completely unrelated to the source material? The film is definitely a bold move that turned many heads in a negative way, but in the end, 21 Jump Street gets the last laugh.

It was one of the most surprising hits of 2012 and the film had me laughing hysterically the entire time. Once your eyebrows lower from the skepticism, you'll notice what a clever film 21 Jump Street is.

Once I heard Jonah Hill was attached to the film, I knew it would be headed it in a different direction that audiences would have expected, and I was interested to see where the film would take the Johnny Depp career booster.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum make quite a team together. I must say that I didn't know Mr. Tatum could be so funny. Even the characters are put in atypical environments (app chemistry, perhaps?) that keep things unpredictable.

The film is filled with cameos by funny actors, (come on, it's Ron Swanson!) including one of the most unforgettable cameo in cameo history, if there is such a thing. The clever script just simply keeps the laughs coming a mile a minute, leaving you hardly any time to catch your breath.

The film reaches some quite outrageous points, especially in its jaw-dropping (although not in the way you'd expect) finale. The film is all about surprise and the shock factor in every aspect, and one of the biggest shocks is just how well it succeeds.

If you're smart enough not to take the film seriously, you'll be surprised just how much you'll enjoy it. 21 Jump Street is enjoyable in ways you wouldn't think possible and will have you laughing until it hurts.
