Review of 21 Jump Street (2012) by David M — 16 Aug 2015
Comedy (supposedly) buddy-cop movie, in which 2 best friend odd-ball cops go back undercover to High School, back to a period when they were about as far removed from each other as could be, in order to break up a drug ring.
Doesn't really work, IMO, as either a comedy nor an action - despite one or two so-so action scenes, and one or two that did raise a wry smile, this never really hits the heights of either a comedy nor an action movie, while also been left very deliberately open for the sequel.
