Review of 21 Grams (2003) by Yvonne N — 28 Feb 2010
Unfortunately I got bored with the film way before the end so perhaps I can't really comment on it effectively. All I can say is that showing the scenes out of order did not work for me in this film and it seemed confusing and I was unable to see what the point of it was or where it was going.
In it's favour the acting was good and the dialoge ok. However l feel that this trendy idea of mixing of times frames for scenes is best left to those who are masters of it. If a story is being told then let it be a story and not just a series of relationships and so called meaningful discoveries.
I also found it very dark and depressing even for me. There seemed to be no light and dark.
