21 Grams chronicles life and death in one of the most powerful ways I have ever seen on film. The non-linear plot is it's main strength, with such a scrambled narrative the film leaves us on the edge of our seat waiting to find out what happens next, or rather before.
The performances cement the film as a piece of beautiful art, more than just a film. It would be wrong for me to say Benicio Del Tero stands out, or Sean Penn stands out, or Naomi Watts because in the honest truth they all do, even the supporting cast noticeably Charlotte Gainsbourg who definitely deserves a lot more screentime that she recieves.
21 Grams is powerful and shocking, to say the least. An aastonishing film that will shock you to right to the core and leave you breathless when the credits begin to roll.
