Review of 21 Grams (2003) by Navin P — 08 Jan 2010
"They say we all lose 21 grams at the exact moment of our death. Everyone.
And how much fits into 21 grams? How much is lost?".
The movie starts very scattered, and all you manage to figure out in the first 20 mins is that the director is constantly shifting between multiple time periods. However, as the movie progresses, everything fits into it's place, and you begin to see the complete picture. The movie challenges you at a viewer to figure out what is going on, and then puts the pieces together one by one, creating a masterpiece that you can truly appreciate.
Benicio Del Toro gives one of his best performances in this movie!! Sean Penn and Watts are also more than satisfactory.
Hats off to the director, Alejandro González Iñárritu, for managing to pull off this amazing movie.
This movie is highly recommended to fans of the Drama genre of movies.
