Review of 21 Grams (2003) by Jason Y — 28 Oct 2010
(DVD)(Second Viewing, 2 Inarritu films seen).
A freak accident brings together a critically ill mathematician (Penn), a grieving mother (Watts) and a born-again ex-con (Del Toro)..
I wish I liked this movie as much the first time I saw it. I think maybe it just plays better on the smaller screen. It has leaped up quite a few spots on my top 10 of last year. Great acting, superb direction, thought-provoking screenplay, etc. The list does go on and on. This is a must-see film. Just don't make it a "date night.".
