Review of 21 & Over (2013) by Ryan O — 04 Aug 2013

I would describe 21 & Over as a cross between American Pie and The Hangover. If you're a fan of those type of coming-of-age movies I'm pretty certain you'll enjoy this comedy. In fact, I thought this was far better than what I was really expecting.

Our hero at the center of this film is in college, on the verge of his 21st birthday. As a surprise, his best buddies come to town looking to take their pal out to celebrate adulthood and so it begins.

What follows is a series of comedic situations that sometimes fall flat but for the most part are quite funny. I enjoyed this for what it is. It's perfect for a light evening of movie watching. There really isn't any aspect of 21 & Over to rant and rave about --- but its light-hearted and by the end of it all, actually comes packaged up with a nice little message.

I would recommend it.
